 Josie, Emma, Oliver and Gordon are off to Munich, Germany and are joined by Gordon's twin sister Grace. As part of their airline internship, they visit many beautiful locales, including Dresden, a city filled with old treasures. They also learn a valuable history lesson about the Holocaust and Germany's tumultuous past.
Becky and Charlie, Josie's younger siblings, have their own German mystery at home in Santa Fe. Their neighbor, Alex the police chief and auto collector, has purchased an old car from Germany. Charlie finds a porcelain figurine in the auto, possibly from World War II, and they must find its rightful owner. The Sleuths immediately become involved in their own new case as they make their flight to Munich while the airline is quietly transporting precious Saxon armor back to the State art museum in Dresden. The armor was previously on loan to a Chicago museum. After being unloaded, it is sent by truck to Dresden but mysteriously disappears en route!
The Suitcase Sleuths are running against the clock to find and return the armor to the Dresden museum in time for the city's 800th year anniversary celebration - but the thieves have other ideas and will do almost anything to stop the four friends!
